Now I shoot a lot of events each year. Some are small celebrations with just a handful of attendees, others are big, fancy, formal affairs. And then there was this one. Never in my life have I seen a gala like this. Every little detail was absolute perfection and it was so fun to shoot! The theme was Gatsby, which has to be my favorite theme of all time, with all the glitz and glamour and decadence of 1920s. If the planners wanted us to feel like we’d been swept back in time to the roaring 20s and at the home of Gatsby himself, they certainly achieved it. Everything from the live performers, to the food, to the decor, to the flowing champaign all kept the theme going. Men in their tuxes and women in their best flapper garb only added to the festive event. I had an absolute blast taking photos for Blacktie Colorado that night and by the looks of it, everyone else attending had a blast too! And National Jewish was able to raise some much needed funding for the Cystic Fibrosis Clinic as well! What a great event!
